I am a registered nurse with my bachelors of science in nursing. I spent 6 years working in Emergency departments across Canada. The last 3 years I have been working in a more intimate clinic setting in Peterborough, Ontario. The patients I treat receive regular infusions or injections to treat their various autoimmune diseases.
Although I loved the fast-paced team environment of a busy emergency room, I was craving a way to make a difference in my patients lives and health. Upon securing the new role in the clinic my wishes were realized. It was finally the nursing I was promised in school. There was actually time to really get to know the patients, hear about their struggles and share in their triumphs.
I thought to myself this is exactly where I am meant to be. These past 3 years have been challenging & inspiring, however, the thing that I kept hearing over and over from all patients from all different walks of life is how much that western medicine had let them down. I heard horror story after horror story. I began to feel a bit discouraged and started to lose faith in the training that I had worked so hard to achieve. I came upon the healing modality due to requiring assistance for my own with health issues, I had such dramatic changes that it really made me stop and take notice. I love helping others and feel that this is the next logical step in my healing journey. I am so blessed to have helped so many already and I look forward to helping many more find wellness and balance in their own lives.
I am excited to say that have recently planned the next steps on my journey and am preparing to set out on a self-discovery adventure backpacking through south east Asia for at least a year. I am setting out in September 2022, my son Drew 22 years old will joining me for the first few weeks, then I will be going it alone. Please follow my blog here and feel free to follow me on Instagram – “jennieonthemove”. I will still be available to do sessions while I am away, please just be patient with me while I initially get my bearings and sort out the time difference.
